All of the more recent Far Cry titles straddle the line between mostly serious and dark main stories with wild and over the top gameplay. Far Cry 6 puts you in the role of a freedom fighter trying to overthrow an oppressive government run by a corrupt dictator, but in between those main campaign missions there are plenty of opportunities for unsavory antics and mayhem. Thanks to this balance, the game does not become too self-serious and remains fun to play for dozens of hours that you can spend wandering around the map completing optional objectives and searching for all the collectibles.
One of the craziest new mechanics in the world Far Cry 6 it’s called Amigos. In past games you could occasionally recruit other soldiers to fight with you, iu Primal even tame a wild animal to join you temporarily. There are now uniquely named animal companions that you can unlock and take with you into battle against Yara’s military forces. Each Amigo has its own strengths and abilities that you can level up to make them even more powerful. Plus, some are just too cute. Guapo

Guapo the crocodile is your introduction to Amigos and will be automatically unlocked for you as you play through the main campaign. He will become available specifically as part of the Juan of a Kind quest during the game’s prologue, so you won’t have to wait long at all to add this scaly friend to your team. His basic perk is called Ancient Survivor. This gives him the ability to regenerate health over time as long as he is not actively engaged in combat, plus he can be revived once if knocked out during combat. He’s a very grumpy, set-it-and-forget-it Amiga guy.
Guap’s three abilities are: Body Regulation, Cornered Beast, and Reptilian Metabolism.
Body Regulation is unlocked by allowing Guap to use his self-revival five times, which should happen naturally as long as you bring him along on missions. Once you unlock it, it’s basically an upgrade to Ancient Survivor. He will now be able to regenerate his HP even while in battle.
The corner beast can only be unlocked after you get Body Regulation. To get it, Guapo must regenerate a total of 3000 HP while in battle. Again, this will just happen if you keep using it. The ability itself makes Guapo take less damage when he drops below 50% HP.
Reptilian metabolism is its ultimate ability. Once Guapo reaches 50 total kills, he gets this self-revival buff. Now, if he falls, his auto-revive will restore up to 90% of his maximum health.
Chorizo

Who can honestly look at this little man running around with his little tool bag and wheels and not immediately want him on your team? Chorizo dog was widely featured in the marketing for Far Cry 6, and with good reason. He is fully aware of the effect he has on people and is ready to use it to your advantage. His main asset is The Attention Seeker, which he uses to draw the attention of enemies so you can sneak past them or up to them for an easy stealth kill. To add this dog to your team, you’ll need to complete the Who’s A Good Boy and Fetch Quest Yaran Story quests on Madrugada, which become available after completing the Meet The Monteros main quest.
Choriz’s three abilities are: Bloodhound, Yes, You Can and Keen Senses.
Bloodhound will unlock quickly and easily. Just have Chorizo do what he does best and distract 10 enemies to unlock this ability. With it, it will passively start marking all the resources in your area on the map.
Yes, You Can is related to Bloodhound. Keep Choriz around while you explore to let him mark 36 loot containers for you and you’ll be able to restore some of his health every time you pet him. And let’s be honest, you’ll be petting this guy a lot.
Keen Senses will be unlocked after you heal him 50 times with pets. Once you do this, Chorizo will sometimes find some resources underground to dig up for you.
Chicharron

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Of course, no one would think that a rooster would make a mighty Amigo, but the Chicharron is not a bird you want to mess with. Unlike other roosters that you can only bring to cockfights, this champion is ready to take down people many times his size. The Angry Bird feature is more than just a cheeky reference as it allows Chicharron to literally throw himself at enemies to attack them. To add this rambunctious rooster to your roster, you’ll need to complete three side missions that unlock after the main story mission called Meet the Legends of El Este. These are Man’s Best Enemy, Pecking Order and Wingman, starting on the Vacio Coast in Sierra Perdida.
Chcharron’s three abilities are: Roid Rage, Angrier Bird, and Chicken Feet.
Roid Rage makes this already aggressive bird even scarier. Once he tastes blood, especially after 12 kills, Chicharron will increase his attack speed and deal double damage when his health drops below the 70% mark.
Angrier Bird will unlock pretty quickly after getting Roid Rage. After Chicharron gets another 24 kills while getting buffs from Roid Rage, his launch attack will start knocking enemies off their feet.
Chicken Feet again requires the previous ability. Have your feathered friend take down a total of 50 enemies with his Angrier Bird skill and he’ll have a better chance of dodging attacks while Roid Rage is active.
Boom boom

Fans Far Cry 5 they will immediately recognize this Amigo. Don’t ask how, but somehow Boomer changed his name to Boom Boom and arrived on Yara to help you on your adventures. It functions as a DD from Metal Gear Solid V, but with some additional changes here and there. The main perk that Boom Boom starts with is called Fetch Boy, where he can go and loot some resources from dead bodies for you. You only need to complete one side mission, Boom or Bust, to unlock it. You can get this quest after the main story quest called Meet Maximas Matanzas and going to Valle De Oro, Balaceras.
Boom Boom’s three abilities are: Pointer, Expert Tracker, and Thick Coat.
The pointer can be unlocked by using Boom Boom’s natural skill to loot 10 dead bodies. It will start to mark every nearby enemy, soldiers and animals.
Expert Tracker follows the Pointer. After marking 24 animals specifically, Boom Boom’s range of being able to mark things for you will expand.
The Thick Coat will unlock last, after Boom Boom has tagged a total of 50 enemies. This is just a nice buff to his defense so he can take more abuse from enemies without going down in combat.
Oluso

The last Amigo that you don’t need any DLC for is the beautiful black panther Oluso. This deadly cat is silent and just as deadly as you in some cases, making it a fantastic partner for stealth-focused players. Her starting perk is called Shadow Striker, which allows her to take down enemies in the blink of an eye without making any noise; plus, any bodies he kills will disappear. However, getting to Olus is not easy. You must complete all Triada Blessings missions to unlock it, which includes Triada Blessings Part 1, Ida’s Triada Relic, Oku’s Triada Relic, Mimo Abosi’s Triada Relic, and finally, Triada Blessings Part 2. These missions start on Isla Santuario in Oluwa Cave.
Olus’s three abilities are: Mimo Abosi’s Luck, Rage of Ida, and Mist of Oku.
Luck Mimo Abosi can be unlocked if Oluso uses his Shadow Striker skill on 12 enemies in restricted areas. This training will make her more likely to silently kill her targets.
Rage of Ida requires a total of 24 removals to unlock. However, once you get it, every time Oluso makes a successful takedown, any other nearby enemies will become terrified and try to run away.
Mist of Oku can be obtained after Oluso scares 50 enemies with Rage of Ida. This passive ability envelops her in smoke if her health drops below 50%, which not only increases her stealth, but also makes her completely immune to damage and regenerates health much faster.
K-9000

The first of two DLC exclusive Amigos is the K-900. This metallic dog with glowing red eyes can only be obtained, for now, if you purchase the Blood Dragon Pack. His standard perk is simply called Iron Skin, which makes him take less damage from bullets and absolutely no damage from fire and poison. Of course, this makes it a real tank even though it is technically classified as a stealth type Amiga.
The three abilities of the K-9000 are: Enhance, Enhance!!! and Interrupt Protocol.
Enhance should appear in no time. The requirements to unlock it are just for the K-9000 to take a total of 100 points of damage. Once it can improve, the K-9000 will start tagging alarms, swing wires, turrets and security cameras for you.
Improve!!! it will be unlocked after the K-9000 specifically tags 24 security cameras. With this upgrade, he will deal extra damage to every tagged enemy he attacks.
Termination Protocol is the result of your robot dog killing 50 enemies that were tagged. This fuse will make your loyal mech dog self-destruct when it runs out of health.
champagne

Champagne’s three abilities are: Greed is Good, Predatory Instinct, and Sonic Snarl.
Greed is Good unlocks when Champagne gets 12 kills. This ability increases the chances of a successful takedown as the amount of money you have in the bank increases.
Predatory Instinct will kick in when Champagne gets his 24th takedown. Awesome passive skill — now, when it performs a silent removal, it will also automatically loot the enemy’s body.
Sonic Snarl is Champagne’s last ability. It’s unlocked by having her loot 1000 Yaran pesos from slain enemies and making it so that whenever Champagne is damaged in battle, there’s a chance she’ll drop a Sonic Snarl that can knock down surrounding enemies.
