Australia’s Glenn Maxwell broke the record for the fastest hundred at the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023. South Africa’s Aiden Markram had previously broken the decade-old record a few matches ago, but Maxwell overtook him with ease.
Maxwell reached his century in just 40 balls. It is one of the fastest centuries in international cricket and Maxwell’s remarkable record will probably never be broken again in a World Cup.

South African Aiden Markram broke the record for the second fastest century in the 2023 edition of the World Cup. He reached his hundred in just 49 balls, batting against Sri Lanka in South Africa’s first match of the 2023 World Cup. Markram finished his innings with 106 balls to spare to help South Africa set a mammoth target of 400+ against a tough side and 1996 World Cup winners. .Sri Lanka.

Ireland’s Kevin O’Brien holds the record for the third fastest century in the Cricket World Cup. He helped his team record a shock victory over rivals England in the 2011 World Cup, which was won by India. Batting at No.6, O’Brien scored an incredible 113 runs, reaching his century in just 50 balls, while chasing down England’s mammoth target of 328. Ireland won by 5 balls and 3 wickets to spare, and O’Brien etched his name forever in the history books with an outstanding strike.
