The government will provide 55 million dollars of additional euros, after 39 million in April, for associations that provide food assistance to households vulnerable to the food security crisis, State Secretary Christelle Dubos announced this Wednesday.
“We anticipate the consequences of the economic crisis,” since “it is estimated that over eight million people will need food aid by the end of the year,” said Dubos at RMC. “Eight million, that’s huge!”, she underlined.
