‘Gold Standard’: Amul on Neeraj Chopra’s historic World Athletics Championships gold

Neeraj Chopra won gold in the men’s javelin final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. This is the first time an Indian has achieved this feat, and people are understandably thrilled. The milk brand Amul joined the celebration with an illustration.

The picture shows Neeraj Chopra standing tall, wearing a medal and holding up the Indian flag in celebration. Cult girl Amul can also be seen holding a spear in one hand and a slice of bread in the other. “Javelwin! The gold standard,” Amul wrote in its illustration.

Neeraj Chopra at the World Athletics Championships

World Athletics Championships are held every two years by World Athletics. It is one of the most important athletic events, along with the Olympic Games.

At the last championship, Neeraj Chopra, the reigning Olympic javelin champion, took home the gold medal with an incredible 88.17 meters in his second attempt.

His Pakistani colleague Arshad Nadeem won second place with a distance of 87.82 meters, while Jakub Vadlejch from the Czech Republic won bronze.
