Gráinne Mullan met the love of her life, Andy Fletcher, back in 1988. By then, Andy was already touring the world and Gráinne was just a fan working at Gascognes as a manager.
Fast forward to 5 years of dating, Gráinne and Andy then tied the knot on January 16, 1993.
Sadly, the couple was only able to celebrate 29 wedding anniversaries before Andy left this world in May 2022. Just a year earlier, the lovebirds had a beautiful evening celebrating their 28th anniversary. In fact, the day was so good that Gráinne even took to her IG at the time to write: “Happy Anniversary! There is no sunny beach this year. No complains. Just thankful.”
However, it was not the first time that Gráinne had wished her late husband a happy wedding anniversary. On January 17, 2019, she took to her IG to write, “Another wedding anniversary in a heavenly place. Returning from dinner, we find the entire bedroom covered in petals and candles. Thanks to Jumby Bay.”
As for Andy, he hasn’t spoken much about his love for his wife.
Gráinne’s last IG post before Andy passed away was on April 17, 2022. At the time, the husband and wife were on vacation in Barcelona, Spain, and Andy had a broken wrist. “Not exactly how we planned to spend the first weekend of our vacation. No more cycling for a while,” he wrote at the time.
Andy’s untimely death came as a surprise to many. According to members of his band, they were “shocked and filled with immense sadness” at the loss of a “dear friend, family member and bandmate.” They also mentioned that Andy has a “heart of gold” and that the world has lost another true soul.

Yes, Gráinne and Andy have two children. They had their first child, Megan, on August 25, 1991 (before marriage) and their second, Joe, on June 22, 1994 (after marriage).
His son Joe Fletcher is a teacher by day and a DJ and bartender by night. He taught at Gesher School, DJ’d at KOKO London and bartended at Soho House & Co.

Megan turned 30 on August 25, 2021. Wishing her a happy birthday, Gráinne took to her IG with photos of beautiful sunflowers to write: “Beautiful sunflowers for an amazing girl who brought so much sunshine into our lives on this day. Happy 30th birthday dear Megan! We love you so much!”
Trivia: Gráinne is also a grandmother now.
