Henk Grol is full of confidence after winning the gold medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Paris, France. The 34-year-old opponent counted on Sunday in the final of a very competitive tournament, with Japan’s Kokoro Kageura.
“Winning the final of this Studentski in Paris, it’s wonderful,” Grol exclaimed joyfully after the victory on the BBC news. “They say everything I have is old and worn, but good…”
In the last fight, it was Veendammer ipponom, to be strong, for Kageura, who earlier in the tournament, but for a sensation, caused the exclusion of Teddy Riner. The Frenchman, who suffered his first defeat in 155 games.
