“I always noticed that new moms cut their hair short and I never understood why. Later I came to know about hair loss after giving birth…,” wrote Hazel Keech Singh on Instagram. (Instagram/@hazelkeechofficial)

“I always noticed that new moms cut their hair short and I never understood why. Later I found out about postpartum hair loss, which must be crap when you’re adjusting to the new reality of tiny people who, like motion sensors, cry or poop as soon as you walk into the bathroom,” reads part of the caption written alongside the pictures shared by Hazel Keech Singh on Instagram.

In the next few lines, she shared that she had decided to donate her hair to be turned into wigs for people undergoing cancer treatment. “My husband shared what it felt like to watch all his hair, eyelashes and eyebrows fall out while he was on chemotherapy and how it really affects your self-esteem,” the description continued.
