spoiler alert: The two finalists for the last episode were Lauryn Bodden and Sandy Dee Hall. As both chefs prepared incredible dishes, Lauryn triumphed over her rivals to win the cash prize and the coveted title.
Judge Ali emphasized that the finalists had to create a morsel that was influenced by what they discovered during the competition and use it to hone their own magical component. However, the judge added that they could have prepared a snack for themselves.
So it took the finalists four hours to prepare the dish, and Lauryn made cavatelli amatriciana (a type of pasta) in bite-size form. The recipe was created in snack form after Lauryn was inspired by her love of traditional Italian food.
Naturally, her dish received great feedback from Helen and Ali. They praised it for its flavor profile and use of bacon, an animal flavor with savory and light elements that they believed was key to reinventing the snack food industry.
On the other hand, Sandy made an innovative snack and created a healthy version of chips and popcorn. But unfortunately, Helen wasn’t up to it.
In the end, Lauryn was declared the winner of Snack vs. Chef.
