HGTV’s Kristin Leitheuser is the daughter of Don Leitheuser and Bonnie Leitheuser. The Leitheusers welcomed their daughter in June 1989.

Frederick C. Brandt Jr. and Joan B. Decker are Bonnie’s parents. She lost her only brother, Frederick C. Brandt III, who passed away on February 24, 2011 at the age of 59.
Frederick lived most of his childhood in the Poughkeepsie area, where he attended the Arlington Central School District. He served in the US Marine Corps at Camp LeJuene, North Carolina. He spent several years working at IBM, but his love of flying led him to Richmor Aviation, where he still works.
