In a post for Father’s Day 2020, he wrote: “My dad was way ahead of his time. I was his brand for our optics, Page Optical (incredible). He was the “Optician to the Stars” and was part of the original @blackbeverlyhills… He taught me the importance of being independent, being an entrepreneur and serving our communities… He taught me how to count money on our pool table… standards and I get what I want when I #dowork.”

His list of celebrity clients included Sammy Davis, Jr., Mayor Tom Bradley, Stack Pierce, Gail Fisher, Redd Foxx, Dionne Warrick, and many more. At the time of her death, she had resided in Crenshaw for more than 20 years.
Before working as an optician, Eugene joined the military at the age of 17. He spent 12 years in Japan.

Patricia was a great role model in Page’s life. In a May 2021 post, she wrote: “My dad passed away when I was 8 years old. So she had to teach this black girl to speak, stand up and never give up, along with my 2 older sisters (who are white with blue eyes), so there was always confusion when our family would show up. And no, I’m not adopted, get that LOL)”.
Since her mother is white and her father is African American, there has always been confusion. She added: “We’ve had serious racial upheaval in my family for the past few years, but at the end of the day, ‘That’s MY Mom’ to whom I owe every success story in my book. She never gave up on me and she truly believes that I can do anything (like a true LOL), and for that I owe her everything, because she gave her all for me and me.”
