Each new student’s journey at Hogwarts depends on which of the four houses the Sorting Hat places them into. Just like books, The legacy of Hogwarts includes Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. However, unlike the books, you are not required to join the house that the Sorting Hat suggests when you first arrive. Just like the boy who lived, the hat is open to your own suggestion as to which house you actually belong to.

The differences you’ll notice between each house are mostly cosmetic at first, but become somewhat more significant later on.
Shared room
Again taking a cue from the source material, The legacy of HogwartsEach house has its own unique common room. This acts as the center of your character. Each is aesthetically different from the others, and you are allowed only yours.
These common rooms also contain a special house chest that you need to collect all the Daedalian keys to unlock. When you do, you’ll receive a unique dressing gown that represents that particular house.

This is the first and most significant cosmetic change your choice of home will have. Depending on the house you choose, your character will wear clothes that match the color of their house: Gryffindor will wear red, Slytherin will wear green, Ravenclaw will wear blue, and Hufflepuff will wear yellow.
NPCs

While you are completely free to hang out with students from all houses, there are a few unique interactions that will only happen with the students you share a house with. They are mostly smaller, but add a nice flavor. Other NPCs will also make passing remarks based on which house you’re in — again, a fun little detail — but not in a way that excludes you from interacting with them.
The quest
Finally, the biggest change that comes with your choice of home is about one task. Without spoiling anything, one quest The legacy of Hogwarts it will change depending on which house you are a part of. This quest doesn’t get too far into the game, so it’s not too hard to replay to see what each of the other house missions look like. This quest appears after the main quest “Trials of Merlin”.
