Introduction of the captaincy in sea of thieves means that enterprising pirates finally have the option of owning their own ships. It can be a big investment, but it allows you to name and personalize your boat, as well as keep track of your adventures. There are a lot of layers and some weird glitches, so we’ll walk you through how to buy and customize ships in the sea of thieves.
How to buy a ship in Sea of Thieves
Buying your boat or boats is the first thing. At the beginning, you can only have a ship of the Sloop, Bergantine and Galleon class. They are sailed by crews of up to two, three, and four people, so which boat you buy first depends on your typical group size. Ships aren’t cheap, ranging from 250,000 gold for a sloop to a whopping 500,000 for a galleon. New pirates may need to spend some time at sea before they can cast that type of coin.
Step 1: Run sea of thieves and skips from the opening movie to the main menu. choose from here game option.
Step 2 – Then select any Adventure either the life of a pirate to get to the ship selection screen.
Step 3: Choose my ships from the center of the screen.
Step 4: Choose buy a boat.
Step 5: Choose what type of boat you want to buy.
Step 6: Name your ship. Note that the name must be less than 20 characters, must not start or end with a space, and must not contain numbers or certain special characters. Also, certain inappropriate or offensive words are illegal – this is a family game of murder and robbery at sea!
Step 7: Confirm the purchase and the boat is yours! Now every time you log in you can launch this or any other purchased ship.
customizing your ship
Now that you have a ship, you can really personalize it by customizing its appearance to your liking. These changes come in three categories. Ship mods change components of the ship itself, such as the hull, wheels, and sails. Ship decorations change the style of things like tables, beds, and rugs inside the ship. Trinkets are collectible items that you can place in specific locations on the ship to show off your style or achievements.
To add some customizations, visit the chest next to the shipbuilder and select ship customization. Choose which ship element you want to apply. For a fee, you can save each part as a default ship customization. Now every time you launch this ship it will start making these adjustments. Additional ship customization options can be purchased from Emporium vendors, Shipwrights, and merchant companies.
Trinkets are placed directly on your ship. They can be bought from boat builders. Many, like decorations, are only available as you progress through milestones. They will be included in the Trophy category. The rest can be purchased immediately and are classified as decorations.
Once you’ve purchased the trinket you want, explore your ship for available spots to display your new trinket. Areas such as shelves, windows, and certain sections of bare walls will display a notice to put a change. Following the prompt, a menu opens where you can select the trinkets you own. Not all trinkets can be put anywhere; the menu will only show items that can go to that location. Many of the trinkets can be placed multiple times, so if you want to fill your ship with little bonsai, you can.
