How to get Chocobo in Final Fantasy 16
Getting a Chocob requires you to progress quite a bit on the main stage. final fantasy 16 – about halfway through the game, actually. Like many upgrades in the game, you will need to complete a side quest to unlock the mount. When you’re working on The Gathering Storm quest, you’ll eventually end up at Martha’s Rest in Central Rosaria. While you’re here, you’ll be able to clearly see an NPC named Rowan near the main entrance to town, so talk to him to start The White Winged Wonder quest.
Completing The White Winged Wonder shouldn’t take long, you just have to take down some thugs to save the Chocobo. Once you’ve completed the quest, you’ll now have access to your very own Chocob named Ambrosia, who you can summon at any time in open areas by pressing R3. When riding Ambrosia, you can run around using R2 or even do some simple moves in combat while on top of your mount, though we wouldn’t recommend bothering with the latter against anything but the easiest enemies.
