How to get the Zora Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You may have noticed many waterfalls falling from the sky. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, especially if you have explored Lanayru and Zora’s Domain or the surrounding areas. If you’re wondering if you can use them in any way, the answer is a resounding yes, as long as you have the proper armor. You’ll need at least one piece of Zora’s armor to swim over the falls, but there are a total of three pieces you need to find. We have the locations for all three parts listed below for you.

How to get Zora’s armor in Zelda: Tears of the Realm

There are three pieces of Zora’s armor, but you’ll only need one if you want to swim over the falls. The chest piece, known simply as Zora’s Armor, can be obtained relatively easily, so we recommend aiming for it first. Regardless of which piece(s) you decide to pick, here are all of their locations.

zora helm

While there is a quest associated with the Zora helmet quest, you can technically get it anytime after you get the Zora armor (see the list below). Simply swim down the waterfall to the island known as Floating Scales Island, which is easily accessible from Mipha’s Court.

While on this fish island, go to the tail fin and look to the right. You will see slime along the sides of the fish. Throw a Splash Fruit at it to reveal an opening. Use your glider to go inside and find Zora’s helmet in a chest.

zora’s armor

Unlocking Zora’s armor requires you to visit Zora’s domain and speak to Yona in the infirmary. This will start a quick quest where you’ll need to throw a Splash Fruit at the statue to clear it.

After that, talk to Yona once more in the infirmary one level up, where she will mention Zora’s armor and ask you to bring her an ancient arowana fish to repair it. You can find several of these rare fish on Mount Ploymus right after Zora’s estate, so she grabs one and brings it back to you to receive Zora’s armor.

crackles of dawn

To get Zora’s Crackles, you’ll need to fully complete the main quest “Zora’s Sidon”, which starts at the same location where you got Zora’s armor (see list above). After the scene with Sidon, you will need to search for Yona once more in Zora’s domain, where she will inform you that she cannot find Zora’s creaks. This will start the “Token of Friendship” quest. To complete it, you’ll need to head to Zora’s old waterworks, which you already explored once during the main quest.

You will find a hole behind a large pillar in the waterworks, and going down you will face the boss of Stone Talus. You don’t have to fight this big guy if you don’t want to, feel free to run past him and continue to the waterfall at the back of the room. Behind this waterfall is a chest with Zora’s Sizzles.
