How to pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage: retailers, editions, and bonuses

The next Assassin’s Creed is fast approaching, but this one isn’t quite like the last few we’ve had. Instead of following the Western open world RPG style which Origin kicked out Assassin’s Creed Mirage it brings things back to square one in many ways. It will be a more focused story-driven game that primarily takes place in just one city and will only last around 20 hours instead of up to 200. The focus is again on stealth and using your skills to kill targets, as well as your parkour and tools.

Just because Assassin’s Creed Mirage it’s built from what was supposed to be DLC for it first Valhalla, that doesn’t mean it won’t have as much care and attention put into it as any other Ubisoft title. Accordingly, there are three individual editions of the game already available for pre-order. Whether you’ve been with the Brotherhood since the beginning of Hidden Blade or jumped on board when the RPG mechanics and loot were introduced, there’s plenty of content between the different editions to choose from. Here’s everything you need to know.

You don’t need Eagle Vision to spot the best way to pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Simply go to the official Ubisoft store page for the game, where you can choose your platform (PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S or PC), whether you want it physical or digital, and your edition choice. You will be taken directly to that platform’s storefront, or Ubisoft will send it to you directly.

Standard edition

The Standard Edition is, as the name suggests, a basic version that contains nothing but the game itself and a bonus mission called The Forty Thieves. However, perhaps because it’s a slightly smaller title than most, this version will cost $50 on all platforms. It’s also important to note that if you get the PS4 or Xbox One version, you can upgrade it to next-gen systems for free.
