When you reach the great hall of the castle in resident evil 4, you will need to collect three heads to place them on the chimera statue. While Lion’s Head and Goat’s Head are fairly simple combat challenges, Serpent’s Head is locked behind a locked display case that requires quite a bit of puzzle solving on your part. Here is how to get it.
How to unlock snakehead
You can see the snake head locked in a glass case after you enter the dining room through the door next to the chimera statue. You will need to solve a puzzle to open it, so go to the end of the hall and look at the two huge paintings on the wall.
Each image corresponds to the place where Leon or Ashley should sit. Leon should sit where the king sits in the image on the right, while Ashley should sit where the queen sits in the image on the left. If you want to figure out the rest yourself, just write down the cutlery locations, what types of food are on display, etc. to see what you can find out. But for the exact seating locations, we’ve got you covered below.
First, have Ashley sit at the first table (closest to the cabinet) in a place with a total of four utensils, no food on her plate, and an empty wine glass.
Then have Leon sit at the second table (closest to the photos) in that spot with a total of six utensils, bread on a small plate, and a pitcher.
Once you’re both sitting in your respective seats, ring the small bell next to the plate to complete the puzzle and unlock the Serpent’s Head display case. Now you can go and pick it up before going to pick up the other two chimera heads.
