How to use split screen mode in Android 9.0 Pie and above
The easiest way to use split screen mode is by using Android’s built-in tools. Split-screen display was introduced on Samsung devices in Android 9.0 Pie — more than four years ago — so most modern Samsung tablets should have access to the feature. Here’s how to use it.
Step 1: Open the first split screen app. This is not required, but you must be able to find the app in the recent apps list.

Step 2: Open the recent apps list by swiping up from the bottom of the tablet and holding for a second or tapping Recent applications button on the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on the icon of the selected app.

Step 4: Tap Open in split screen view.

Step 5: Your app will open on the right and the app drawer on the left.

Step 6: Select the second app you want to open in the app drawer and it will pop up next to your first app.
From here you can use those two apps as usual, but there are some other tricks you can use. You can resize windows by dragging the bar between them, but you can also open a single application in popup view.

Opening the application in a pop-up window
Instead of opening the selected app in split-screen mode, you can open it in a small pop-up window. You can do this from the recent apps menu or while you already have an app open in split screen view.
To open from the recent apps menu:
Step 1: Open the recent apps menu.
Step 2: Tap on the app icon and select Open in popup view.

Step 1: Tap the blue line at the top of the app.
Step 2: Choose Pop-up view icon. It should be first on the list.
