How to use the distance widget in iOS 16
You probably didn’t know Widgetable existed until you heard about the distance widget. So if you haven’t already, head over to the App Store and download the Widgetable app. Once you’ve done that, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Widgetable app.
Step 2 – Power On Screen lock menu, scroll down to Distance contraption. Contains the title our distance followed by the number of miles.
Step 3 – Tap Distance widget, then tap Friends tab on the right. Send your Widgetable code to your friend and ask that friend to do the same so they can be added to your friends list.
Step 4: Go back to Distance widget page, touch choose in the box under Choose a friend and select any friend from the list. Once the connection process is complete, save the widget.
Step 5: Go to yours settings app and scroll down to Wallpaper tab, then touch personalize on the side of the lock screen.
Step 6 – Tap on the widget field on the lock screen, scroll down add widgets page in Widgettable and touch it. Swipe to the Circle Widget or Rectangle Widget and touch the empty widget to go to the edit page. Choose friend distance widget and install it on your lock screen.
If the Widgetable widget distance still seems like an invasion of privacy, you don’t need to add it to your iOS 16 lock screen, or ask your friends to join it. It’s just a fun app to use with a friend or partner who wants to use it too.
