Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido has experienced great grief following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The three-year-old son of singer Dami Duro has been confirmed dead after drowning in a private pool at the family’s residence in Lagos.

When did Ifeanyi, the son of David, die?
According to a source, David Adeleke’s son died on October 31, 2022 after drowning in a private pool at the family home in Lagos.
They discovered that the boy had been drowning in the water for too long. Although he was immediately transported to the hospital, doctors were unable to revive him.
According to information collected by Mandy News, Davido was traveling in the United States at the time the incident occurred. Chioma was understood to have left Ifeanyi with a maid before traveling to Ibadan.
Ifeanyi was pronounced dead at the scene.

A family member confirmed his death to the People Gazette, saying in a statement:
- “The boy was in the water too long, so they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital.”
- “By the time they took him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late.”
Another musician, Dapo Oyebanjo, better known onstage as D’banj, lost his son in June 2018 after the boy drowned in the family pool.
How old was he?
Ifeanyi sadly passed away at the age of 3.
Ifeanyi, Davido’s third child with Chioma, died eight days after celebrating his third birthday on October 20 and received heartfelt congratulations from his parents on their Instagram pages.

The three children are the result of David’s past relationships.
Imade is the name of their first child, a girl who is close friends with Tiwa Savage’s son.
Imade’s sister Heiley was born soon after in the US to mother Amanda.
Ifeanyi, the now-deceased son, was born to his second girlfriend, Chioma Rowland.
