Bethesda’s latest IP delivered in a way that fans didn’t expect. Deathloop pits two rival assassins against each other with a stunning single player campaign ia Dark souls– like the PvP invasion mechanic. However, players can’t wait to see if they can attack their friends on other consoles. Is Deathloop multiple platforms?
Does Deathloop have crossplay?

Unfortunately no; Deathloop does not support crossplay. This means that PC players can only attack other PC players. Those using the PlayStation 5 can rest easy knowing that the computer-controlled Julianna will not invade their world. Additionally, the PvP side Deathloop left fans divided. Some believe it’s a waste of time, while others argue it’s better than that Dark souls. Whichever side of the argument you take, you will only succeed with players on the same platform.
Is Deathloop coming to Xbox?

The answer is probably, but not until September 14, 2022. You might have missed the very tiny disclaimer in the launch announcement (we’ve provided a screenshot above) that says, “Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until 9/14/22.
Why? Doesn’t Microsoft own Bethesda? Yes, although Microsoft owns Bethesda as of 2020. Deathloop was announced as a PS5 exclusive back in 2019. While we can only speculate about the inner workings of Sony, Bethesda, and Microsoft, it’s reasonable to assume that Sony had an exclusive deal for Deathloop they were willing to give in after the Microsoft acquisition. Microsoft probably accepted the PC edition Deathloop as a fair middle ground.
How do we know that? Great part Deathloop’s the marketing campaign was how it planned to take advantage of DualSense controllers for the PS5, something the Xbox series doesn’t have. Why would they rely so heavily on that marketing aspect, knowing it would alienate Xbox gamers if they didn’t have an exclusive deal with Sony?
Will Deathloop come to other platforms?
As for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, there is no reason to believe Deathloop will be released on these platforms soon. Although you can now play Skyrim on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft’s deal with Bethesda is most likely blocking any Nintendo Switch release. Sorry Nintendo fans, you won’t be attacking each other on your Switches anytime soon.
