The legacy of Hogwarts gives Harry Potter fans of all ages the chance to explore an open-world version of the fantasy school for the first time. Students are assigned to one of Hogwarts’ famous houses, master every form of magic, and find themselves in the middle of all kinds of wild magical adventures.
Is Hogwarts Legacy a multiplayer game?

From now on, The legacy of Hogwarts is a complete single player experience. That’s by design — ever since the first marketing materials for the game appeared online, developer Avalanche Software has consistently been clear that the game is not designed to have any co-op or online play.
But there’s still hope for multiplayer action at Hogwarts thanks to the mods. It’s still early days, but a mod in progress called HogWarp aims to enable co-op The legacy of Hogwarts play for up to eight players. The mod is being worked on by Together Team, the mod team that successfully brought multiplayer gameplay to Bethesda’s hit fantasy RPG Skyrim in the past with a project called Skyrim Together.
“Our goal is to figure out how to do the basics, like creating player-looking characters, animations, and NPCs,” Yamashi, the mod’s creator, said in an interview with PC Gamer. “We will not be creating any multiplayer-specific content ourselves; we want to provide a stable framework so people can enjoy the vanilla game and maybe expand it themselves later.”
Team Together released a video of a test build of the mod just days after the official announcement The legacy of Hogwarts rid.
Yamashi is currently working on the mod solo, but other modders are reportedly looking at the opportunity to join the project. A test version of the mod is available for subscribers to Yamashi’s Patreon, but the modder warned anyone jumping in “to expect something very simple and buggy at this point.” A more complete version of the mod could be available in a few months.
