Beginning his journey in the Culinary Program at the Washington Art Institute while working for Chef RJ Cooper in Vidalia (2007-2008), James then moved to Chicago and worked with Chef Bruce Sherman at Northpond for 7 months.
In 2009, James started out as “Chef de Partie” at Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons and then further developed his chef skills at Chef Jean Georges’ three-Michelin-starred flagship restaurant in New York before returning to the area. and joined Wine Kitchen (2011-2012) in Frederick, MD as “Executive Chef”.
