ABC’s The Bachelor: The Women Tell All had big news. Right after filming ended, host Jesse Palmer asked Zach Shallcross’ ex, Charity Lawson, to be the new Bachelorette for season 20! Although Charity refused to believe the proposal at first after she was sure it wasn’t a joke, she said, “That’s a yes! Absolutely! 100%, like, absolutely. Wait, I’m going to cry. I’m shaking right now.”
“I’ve been waiting forever to find the love of my life, and I’m thrilled that I was able to meet my person and be engaged and literally be happily ever after,” she added.
Thus began a brand new season with 25 men, including James Pierce, competing for the Bachelorette’s heart.
“Don’t accuse James of being a complete dream. This charming lawyer grew up on an apple farm and describes himself as a curious, determined and passionate man. He trusts the process in hopes of finding someone exceptional. Will Charity be that person? The jury is still out, but we’re swooning,” James’ ABC bio read.

On the other hand, the contestants who actually made it to the end were Dotun Olubeko, Xavier Bonner, Joey Graziadei and Aaron Bryant.
Charity’s overnight stays reportedly took place in Fiji, where Dotun and Aaron ran a 10K marathon for charity. Although it was a rough first date for Aaron, Dotun (who was an athletic star in college) on the other hand, had a good time with the Bachelor.
As for each contestant’s hometown episodes, they took place — Joey’s on April 11, Xavier’s on April 13, Aaron’s on April 15, and Dotun’s on April 17, 2023.
Season 20 of The Bachelor premieres on June 26, 2023. “I’m definitely looking for someone who is a compassionate person, meaning someone who is extremely kind and treats others well,” Charity said in the inaugural episode.
