In 1991, Nancy immigrated to Williams Worldwide Television, where she started the short forms division and worked her way up to Vice President of Media. Working in the company was not easy. “She was working with a cardboard box,” says Lazkani. “I didn’t have a desk. Everything was so new that I remember at first almost crying every day on the way home and saying to myself, ‘I just don’t understand this advertising business!'”
Within six months, she became a supervisor and within a year a media director. Two years later, she Nancy became vice president. Her second mentor, Katie William, gave her a chance to improve. She left Williams in 1994 to join Focus Media’s Focus Direct division.
In the three years that Nancy has been with Focus, she has increased the department’s turnover from $3 million to $24 million.
In addition, in 1997 he decided to go solo and founded Prime Time Direct with several partners. The business was moderately successful at $19 million in the first two years. He left the company to found Icon Media Direct in May 2000. He now runs a company with over 100 employees.
