They loved music and performed separately, but their mother suggested they start a band together. She advised the children to take a vacation and do something to pursue a music career. And her father’s health played an important role in her pursuit of music. Perhaps the three of them would never have considered playing music as a career. As for the name of the band, it came from a family memory.
When he was young, Joshua gave nicknames to everyone, including his dog. When Bekah was born, Josh started calling him Thomas, which was the origin of the band name ‘Girl Named Tom’. The band focuses on acoustic pop with an emphasis on soft harmonies.
