Traci Braxton, sister of singer Toni Braxton, passed away on March 11, 2022. According to TMZ, Traci had been battling cancer for a year but passed away suddenly.
Toni confirmed the news of her sister’s death through an IG post. She wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our sister Traci. Needless to say, she was a shining light, a wonderful daughter, a great sister, a loving mother, a wife, a grandmother, and a respected performer. We will miss him very much.”
Toni concluded: “Traci passed away this morning while the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. Please respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever.”
Traci was previously married to Kevin Surratt Sr. They married on August 31, 1996.
On her 24th birthday in August 2020, Traci wrote on her Instagram: “Happy 24# anniversary bestie! @sirratt23 love you……..” While Kevin wished his wife Valentine’s Day 2022 and stated that they have been together for 29 years.
Kevin said: “We have come to a time where we must let the public know that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatments for oesophageal cancer, our beloved Traci Braxton has become famous.”
