Kid wears costume with flashing lights inside flight, video sparks debate

A video of a kid wearing a costume with flashing lights while traveling on a plane has been shared online. This dress with persistent flashing lights has divided netizens. While the playful outfit amused some, others were less enthusiastic about it. A few even pointed out that flashes from the dress could be harmful to those with epilepsy.

The video was originally posted on TikTok and later made its way to Instagram. It was shared on the Passenger Shaming site. The Instagram page is full of videos showing the unusual, bizarre, and sometimes creepy behavior of passengers on a flight.

This video of a child’s light-up costume was posted with the simple caption, “WWYD? [What would you do].” The video opens and shows the interior of the plane full of passengers. In a few moments, beams of flashing lights are seen in the cabin. As the camera moves to the other side, the reason for this becomes clear. The light comes from the white costume the child is wearing. The video ends with the blue, pink, orange and green light of the bone constantly flashing.

The video was released a few months ago. Since then, it has collected close to a million views. The share also collected several comments. While some stated that the video captured a lighthearted moment, others did not hold back as they expressed their displeasure.

Here’s what people wrote while expressing their opinions about this video:

“A child is a child, let them enjoy the flight. I’m more annoyed by people who talk loudly and have their reading lights on. Reading lights at night ruin the real mood,” shared one Instagram user. “Sweet in theory, but a major trigger for someone with epilepsy. Here is the epileptic’s mom. Attacks are not something to be messed with,” added another.

“I wouldn’t do anything. Children are children, they are cheerful and not nervous. A win is a win,” joined a third. “Really inconsiderate parents,” wrote a fourth. Repeating the question posed in the title of the video – what would you do?
