The producer of Kabali, the popular 2016 film starring Rajnikant, has been detained for drug involvement. Since then, the news made sensational headlines, putting pressure on Tollywood. Near his home, Chaudhary was detained, and officers obtained a substantial amount of drugs from him. 100 bags of cocaine with a total weight of 823.75 grams were found with him, authorities announced.
KP Chowdary’s arrest
On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a prominent Tollywood producer was arrested in connection with a drug case. Since then, much has changed in the Tollywood film business. After it was reported that he was taking cocaine, the police arrested him.
Police also discovered that he was carrying 100 packs of cocaine. It is believed he may have swallowed some and even sold some. Cyberabad police have arrested a drug cartel producer.
He was first stopped by the Special Operations Team while he was leaving his home in the Rajendranagar area of Kismatpur and 90 bags of cocaine, weighing a total of 82.75 grams, were seized from him. He was just delivering drugs to customers when he was caught red-handed.
Cyberabad police said they arrested Chowdhury after investigating a previous incident in which 300 grams of cocaine were found a month earlier. During the police investigation, four mobile phones and 20,000 rupees in cash were seized from KP Chaudhary. Authorities said he was linked to an organization in Nigeria.
