The picture shows a beautiful body of water and a blue sky. What is amazing about the photo is the lion that is seen standing on the shore as if enjoying the beauty of nature. Unusual movement of Asiatic lions in Gujarat

The Gir Forest in Gujarat, where Asiatic lions are observed in their natural habitat, is home to more than 100 lions, the BBC reported in an article published back in 2022. The large beasts often reach nearby coastal regions, and this behavior of lions has been observed for the first time back in the 1990s. Animals usually follow the river Heran to reach the sea. This river passes through the Gir forest and eventually reaches the Arabian Sea in Somnath district. According to experts, this unusual movement of lions is a consequence of the problem of overcrowding in their natural habitat.
