The map claims that one can travel from India to the United States in a ‘straight line’ through a sea route ‘without touching a single piece of land’. As expected, the picture goes viral and sparks people’s interest. It also caught the attention of billionaire Elon Musk, who commented on the picture.

“Without touching a single piece of land, it’s possible to sail from India to the US in a completely straight line,” reads the headline, which accompanies an image of a map posted on X by Epic Maps. The account shares ‘educational and informative maps of the world’ on the microblogging platform.
The image shows a blue line connecting India and the United States. While India is marked by point A, the United States is marked by point P. The map also highlights the distance between the two countries along this route. It has 29,800 km.

The post has garnered more than 6.3 million views since it was shared on September 28. It also caused a number of reactions from people, including that of Elon Musk.
Musk responded to the post and simply wrote, “Wow.”
