Cindy Lavender-Bowe and Barnwood Builders were friends from school. They both grew up in West Virginia and had the same friends. However, despite knowing each other for a long time, they fell in love much later and got married on March 31, 2003.

At her wedding, Cindy was just over 3 months pregnant with her son, Atticus.

So, on September 18, 2003, Atticus came into this world and is now a senior in high school. Cindy Lavender-Bowe comes from a family of five.

His mother, Jean Lavender (born September 1952) is a retired Director of Nursing at Golden Living Center. She was also a registered nurse at Heartland in Charleston. As of 2022, she lived in East Bank, West Virginia.
