Meet Dalton Gribble, husband of Ashley Cain
Dalton Gribble met Ashley Cain on January 3, 2015.
The skater recalled: “I was waiting for two friends Molly and Ashley B to celebrate my first night on my leave when Dalton and his friends Chad and Dawson approached me.”
Dalton seemed to like what he saw and struck up a conversation and invited Ashley to join them while they waited for their friends. Even later, when Ashley’s friends arrived and went to her table, Dalton and her friends joined them and they all went to get dessert.
That night, Dalton and Ashley talked about anything and everything. And when it was time to go home, Dalton put his number into his phone.
A few weeks later, the two went ice skating on their first date. And for the second time, they just sang along to the radio in the car with no worries.
On March 30, 2018, Dalton popped the question to Ashley in front of a lighted gazebo with the words “Marry me?” The Olympian said “yes!” before she knew it.
Also, families from both sides were there to witness the moment.
The following year, the lovebirds exchanged vows at The Nest at Ruth Farms (wedding venue in Ponder, Texas) on June 1, 2019.
Fast forward to 2022, the two were still together, and Dalton was there to watch Ashley and her partner Timothy take to the ice in Beijing, China for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Fun fact: Timothy knew about the ring and the engagement proposal a year before it happened. “Finally, I know about this forever!” he yelled when the proposal came.

In 2015, Daron was diagnosed with melanoma that required removal of the affected area along his right cheek and jaw. Fortunately, she recovered in time and was doing well at the age of 60 in 2022.
