National Geographic’s hit television show, Life Below Zero: Northern Territories, returns for its second season. This season will see the cast’s daily tribulations as they battle wildlife and extreme cold weather in the unforgiving environments of northern Canada. Jonathan Grenier from Kuujjuaq, Nunavik joined the original cast in the second installment of the series. Meet Lally Partridge Bakir, wife of Life Below Zero’s Jonathan Grenier
Before we talk about Lally Partridge Bakir’s love life, let’s establish who her husband, Jonathan Grenier, is as a person. In addition to being a cast member of Life Below Zero: Northern Territories Season 2, Jonathan is also an avid hunter, fisherman, and proud son of the North.
Jonathan spends every minute of his spare time hunting or fishing. He has two boats: one for the inland river and another, a larger 24-foot boat for the North River, for the rougher and more unpredictable area of the sea. Jonathan hunts many things, including black bear, geese, fox, caribou, muskoxen, and ptarmigan in one season.
Jonathan, of mixed Inuit and French-Canadian descent, is fluent in French and English, and also has a working knowledge of Inuktitut. As a proud Inuit, he is determined to teach his children how to live off the land in the traditional Inuit way.
As for Jonathan and Lally’s love life, the two have been together since February 5, 2018.
After dating for over three years, the two tied the knot on September 18, 2021. Jonathan announced his marriage to Lally on Facebook a day later. Many people congratulated the couple on their wedding.

The adorable duo are raising two children together, both boys. The eldest is called Kalluk. He turned 7 on February 26, 2019, and Jonathan wished him the happiest of birthdays in a Facebook post.
At the time of this writing, we weren’t sure if Jonathan had Kalluk and another child with Lally or if they were from his previous relationship. Also, since Jonathan and Lally have reportedly only been in a relationship since 2018, it’s unlikely that Kalluk is Lally’s biological son.
Speaking more about the Grenier family, Lally’s husband shared on his Facebook in April 2021 that he discovered major problems with the house they lived in and concluded that it would need a major renovation. He added that the entire family had to move and live with their parents while the reconstruction took place.

Reportedly born before 1993, Lally Partridge Bakir was at least 29 years old at the time of writing in 2022. She celebrates her birthday every September 14.
On September 15, 2020, Jonathan’s mother and Lally’s mother-in-law, Annie Grenier, posted on Facebook wishing Lally a happy birthday. In the caption of the photo, she wrote: “Happy birthday once again to Lally and Louisa PB. Yesterday was a very nice dinner to celebrate your birthday. I wish you both many more wonderful years. Jon Grenier, you outdid yourself by making your delicious birthday cake from scratch!”
