South Korean artistic gymnast Yang Hak-seon competes professionally and focuses on vaulting. She began gymnastics at the age of nine, following her brother in sports.
By winning the vault at the 2012 London Olympics, he made history as the first athlete from the Republic of Korea to win an Olympic gold medal in gymnastics. She became the first gymnast from South Korea to win a gold medal at the 2021 Olympics after winning gold at the Asian Championships and the London Olympics.
In addition to the Olympic crown, the gymnast won the world vault gold medal in 2011 and 2013.

In June 2021, his right hamstring was still giving him trouble. In 2018 he suffered a broken right hand. He injured his right Achilles tendon during training in March 2016.
