Melanie Inglessis made her first appearance at the Depp vs. Heard on May 18, 2022, online, testifying as a witness for Amber Heard.
During his testimony, he revealed that he met Amber in 2015 to prepare for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. At the time, she was Amber’s makeup artist, and over time, they slowly became friends.
When questioned, Melanie admitted that she had seen the damage to the bed and the writing on the kitchen counter in the penthouse. She also shared that Amber had injuries that appeared to have been “tapped lightly to the head: discoloration under both eyes and the bridge of her nose.”
Furthermore, Melanie revealed that Amber also had a split lip and confirmed that the photo (without hair) is of the actress. However, she doesn’t remember the bruises on her scalp or the pus from her and she only remembers her hair because Amber showed it to her.
Finally, Melanie shared that Amber prepped for The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2015, putting on more weight when necessary and applying a peach concealer to cover up the darkness. She also recalled talking to Amber about using blood red lipstick as the only way to cover up the damage on her lips.
Watching Amber’s behavior before and after the show convinced Melanie that she had the ability to do her job.
Describing Amber’s mood and behavior, Melanie mentioned that she was “angry, sad, a little erratic, thinking in waves of emotions.”
In addition, he confirmed that he saw Samantha McMillen before the James Corden Show. However, he doesn’t know if Samantha ever worked on Amber or not. But he remembers seeing Amber crying on Samantha’s shoulder.
Thus, at the end of her testimony, Melanie confirmed that she was no longer interested in working for Amber and being friends with her. She was tired of hearing about the conflict all the time, during her year and a half of service.
As for her impression of Johnny Depp, Melanie always thought Pirates of the Caribbean was “adorable.” Although she may have had less than 10 interactions with him, she never saw Johnny abuse Amber. The only source of information about her fight was Amber.
