The woman got out of the car after the attack and Simon, 35, fled from Kingscote Park in Blackpool at around 4am this morning – with little Autumn in the back of the vehicle.

Autumn was found “safe and well” outside her home address in Blackpool on Monday, Lancashire Police said.

But police are still looking for Simon after finding the car abandoned in Lakeway, Blackpool.

Simon is described as white, approximately 6 feet tall, of slim build, with a shaved head and beard. It has something to do with Blackpool and Preston.

Inspector Jon Campbell-Smith, from Blackpool Police, said: “We are also incredibly relieved that Autumn has since turned up outside her home address and is safe and well.

“We are still keen to locate Simon Cooney as part of our investigation into this morning’s attack and are asking anyone who knows where he is, or who has seen him, to stay away from him and call us immediately.”

Anyone with information should quote the August 28 log 211 when they call.
