TV advice that takes you on vacation

“The precious, miserable, written, chaotic and semi-idiotic story of the fairy Nimue”. As explained in the Netflix series “Cursed” in the British newspaper The Guardian.

“Cursed” arrived on Netflix on Friday, July 17, and at the time of writing is the most popular series on strømmeplattformen in Norway. However, they get a passport with anmelderseksjoner both here in the country and abroad. The main role is played by Katherine Langford, best known for “13 Reasons Why”.

The Guardians reviewer continues to rave about the Kaperna series, saying that “the budget must have been spent on something other than the script.”

In the Riksmediene in this country, the “Damned” did not manage to collect any better dice than three, so it made it into the newspapers. Reviewer Christopher Pahle describes the series as unintentionally comic and says it makes him want to “throw things at the screen”. He is not kind to the main character Langford:

Confirms the continuation of “Game of Thrones”.

“The performance is also consistently sub-par, often over-hyped or completely misdirected to achieve the desired effect, and poor Langford Spreller in a role he’s completely unhappy with,” he writes.

NRK and VG are also unimpressed with the series, leading to a two from both reviewers. Marte Hedenstad in “Filmpolitiet” which means “never deliver”, while vg Tor Martin Bøe calls the series “damn hopeless”.

The Metro newspaper described the series as “fantasy at its most sterile and dull” and believes it is trying to be the next “Game of Thrones” – but unfortunately it can only compete with the oil of the last season of the cult HBO series.

Metro-reviewer George Griffiths points out in passing that the big strømmetjenesten are now trying to create the next big fantasy series. The projects that are on the way include, among others, the own predecessor of the republic’s HBO, namely the so-called “prequel” series of “Game of Thrones”.

Amazon allocated four billion for the series “Lord of the Rings” comes in a row

Other major rail investments include, among others, Amazon Prime’s “Lord of the Rings” series, Star Wars spinoff “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ and Netflix’s “The Witcher.” There seems to be general agreement, however, that “Cursed” is not a show that occupies the fantasy throne after Daenarys, Jon Snow and co.

Netflix viewers can see anyway that she was the bait of the series, which has also received praise in some media outlets. The Hollywood Reporter writes that Langford carries the series on her shoulders, and the prices of the other actress allowed her to get through the last season of “13 Reasons Why.”
