Multi-millionaire pop superstar spotted on budget airline stunning passengers after shunning private jet

CALVIN HARRIS may be worth £250million but he’s not let fame and fortune go to his head.

I can reveal the superstar DJ swerved a private jet charter to hop on a budget airline when he flew back from Ibiza last week.

His fiancee Vick Hope shared these snaps of them on a yacht during their sun-soaked getaway to the island before they returned to the UK on a flight with her Radio 1 drivetime co-host Jordan North.

Hungover party-goers getting off the packed plane pushed past Calvin – whose new single Desire with Sam Smith is at No18 in the charts.

A source said: “Everything was luxurious on the island but Calvin and Vick opted to save cash by joining a standard flight home.

“Calvin is a massive star but no one batted an eyelid that he was on board.”

Russell: I was a mess

RUSSELL BRAND has admitted he was a bit all over the place during his short-lived marriage to Katy Perry.

The comic and singer got together in 2009 and tied the knot the next year but then split up after just 14 months.

During a new episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge, Russell said of the showbiz marriage: “Some aspects of it were, like, amazing.

“She’s an amazing person, and it was kind of incredible to live for a moment in that eye of the cyclone-type aspect of fame.”

But he added: “Aside from my sort of feelings of affection for Katy, it’s a time I remember being a little bit chaotic and disconnected.”

A TRAVIS SCOTT gig in Rome was disrupted when a fan jumped on stage.

Security tried to intervene after the bloke interrupted Travis mid-song, but the rapper was happy for him to crack on.

The Sicko Mode star, joined by Kanye West during the show, said: “You don’t come up here to take selfies, you come up here to rage (dance). Don’t look at me. You got 60,000 people in front of you right now.”

When the man realised all eyes were on him Travis again encouraged him to dance, saying: “Listen brother, you either coming up here to lose your mind or you gonna have to go. You chose this, I didn’t.”

The embarrassed fan quickly legged it.

Dougie feels safe in studio

McFLY’s Dougie Poynter has finally found inner peace after battles with alcohol and mental health issues.

His bandmate Harry Judd told me: “Dougie is the happiest he has been in a long, long time because he has immersed himself in music. Any other s*** in his life is no longer there.

“He structures his week Monday to Friday. He is here in the studio full time and then on the weekends he does other stuff. It’s really working for him.”

On Dougie’s role on the band’s latest album Power To Play, which peaked at No2 in June, Harry added: “He took the lead on things creatively that he’s not had the confidence to do before, which has been incredibly inspiring to us all. The studio is Dougie’s sanctuary.”

Era’s a Taylor tour de force

TAYLOR SWIFT showed she’s strong enough on her own as she flexed her muscles on stage in Los Angeles.

In the middle of a six-night run there as part of her Eras tour, she looked empowered posing for her thrilled fans.

Among the hundreds of thousands who travelled to see her this week were screen stars Cameron Diaz, Channing Tatum, Sofía Vergara and Zoe Saldana as well as singers Alicia Keys, Kesha and Paula Abdul.

Even Simon Cowell made the trip to see the critically acclaimed show.

Taylor will bring the tour here next June, where she is expected to make £6million on merchandise alone.

It must be odd spending months on end performing in different places.

But I’m sure the megabucks she is earning sweetens the deal.

Tom’s new ball game

TOM GRENNAN has played footie with some of the biggest legends in the game and now he’s golfing with them too.

The singer took some time out from his busy schedule to play 18 holes with Tottenham and England stars Harry Kane and James Maddison a few days after taking to the pitch and later singing at charity match Game4Ukraine at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground in West London on Saturday.

The How Does it Feel star has been a busy man recently with gigs here, there and everywhere, while Harry and James have been hard at work preparing for the new Premier League season which starts this weekend.

Nothing like a nice walk on the fairways and greens to take the edge off.

The only question is . . . Will Harry still be a Spurs player by the weekend or will he make the move to Bayern Munich in Germany?

I bet Tom knows.

Mission is impossible

HE beat Covid lockdowns, staff mutiny and a raft of other problems to create an epic action movie but finally one mission has proved impossible for Tom Cruise.

The superstar and his director collaborator Chris McQuarrie have been left “gutted” after the Hollywood actors’ strike halted filming on the next installment of their blockbuster.

Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two is due in cinemas next June, but with the movie’s biggest action sequence yet to be filmed and Hollywood at a standstill, it looks likely it will be delayed.

The bulk of the action has already been shot and crew members were filming additional scenes at Longcross Studios in Surrey before the strike began last month.

A source said: “The series is Tom’s baby. He understands why the strike is happening and appreciates the struggles of many people in the industry, but it is still frustrating given they were tantalisingly close to wrapping the movie.

“The release date for next summer means they are up against the clock to get it completed, given there will be lots of post- production to do.”

Filming had only recently resumed after a pre-planned stop so Tom could embark on a global press tour to promote Dead Reckoning Part One in June.

The seventh film in the series was released last month and has taken almost £400million at the box office around the world.

Yet with a sky-high budget and millions spent on marketing, in another blow for Tom it is unlikely to make a profit.

Dead Reckoning Part One was the first major movie to shut down when the pandemic started.

But while restrictions were in place, they managed to resume filming.

Tom then flew into a rage on set after crew broke Covid protocols.

I imagine tensions are running high again for those working on the latest ambitious movie.

But at least the cast and crew won’t be getting an earful from Tom this time.
