Channel 4’s Grand Designs: The Street, which will return with two new episodes, will see Natasha working with him. The show will follow a group of daring self-builders as they embark on the task of designing and building their own exceptional homes.

Natasha, who has her own practice in Edinburgh, will join the program next year. The pair will follow Graven Hill in Oxfordshire, the UK’s largest mass self-build site, and will announce several new projects in Glasgow.

During the first season of The Street, Kevin commented, “We saw the beginnings of the Graven Hill location and were honored to spend time with our 10 intrepid guinea pigs.”

Now that the UK’s largest self-build community is really up and running, we’ll be back to keep an eye on more projects. According to Kevin, the show will also provide insight into how self-sustainable properties can transform the UK property industry.

“I would also love to look at other pilot projects in the series, such as Glasgow,” he added. Self-build and build-to-order are “here to stay” and at the current rate, will dramatically increase the UK housing supply. “Both new series will capture the sense of community fostered by these amazing self-built neighborhoods, as the passion, resilience and ambition of the builders are embodied to create something special,” said Ian Dunkley, Editor of Channel 4.

The committee was formed in response to the ratings success of Grand Designs, which debuted on Channel 4 in January and attracted 3.4 million viewers. Grand Designs: The Street had 2.1 million viewers in its entire first season, which aired in 2019.
