NDA Meeting: There is no let-up in the acronym debate between BJP and Congress. The new full name of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), New India, Developed Nation, People’s Aspiration of India, was proposed on Tuesday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This major change came shortly after the opposing coalition, known as INDIA, took its name from the Comprehensive Alliance for National Development of India.

INDIA or India’s National Comprehensive Development Alliance – is the new front announced by opposition parties on Tuesday as they gather in Bengaluru for a two-day brainstorming session for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The main goals of the newly formed coalition are to defeat the BJP in the 2024 election, defend the constitution, promote inclusive development and support secularism.

New NDA

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party is showing its coalition strength with party chairman JP Nadda announcing that 38 members of the ruling NDA have confirmed their attendance at the meeting in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said NDA stands for New India Aspiration and Development. And for this new NDA, nation comes first, security, progress, empowerment and people come first.
