On September 1, 2022, Nneka shared with her social media followers for the first time that she was castaway on Survivor 43. She took to Instagram to share a promo clip for the show and some photos, writing, “It’s official! I did something!! I’m a castaway on #Survivor 43 and it’s going to be an epic season,” as the caption says.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Nneke’s favorite hobbies are traveling, biking, and cooking, and her favorite hobbies are mediocrity and laziness. Furthermore, she Nneka said that the three words that would describe her would be cheerful, hard-working, and trustworthy.
Ahead of the Survivor 43 premiere, Nneka spoke to Parade.com and shared some interesting details about her involvement with Survivor. She revealed that she auditioned for Survivor because she was the item on her bucket list. She got hooked on the series during the COVID quarantine.
Nneka also shared that out of all the former Survivor contestants, she identifies the most with Denise, because of how she was able to stay calm and build trust and build trusting relationships, and Cirie, because she played a great social game and built strong relationships.
When asked what type of player she is looking for in the alliance, Nneke replied that she is someone she can trust and build deep relationships with.
