Meet Noah Thompson’s mother, Elizabeth Miller.
The 20-year-old construction worker from Louisa, Kentucky was among the three finalists along with HunterGirl and Leah Marlene. He told USA Today: “Honestly, man, he was a little numb.”
He continued: “I was blown away. I just didn’t know how to feel. Anyone could win this show, you know what I mean? I just didn’t think it was me.” She has a one-year-old son, Walker, who had never flown in an airplane before the audition.
“My friend pushed me to enter this competition, but I’m grateful for it,” he told USA Today. “I just didn’t expect this result at all. After the Top 3 it really hit me.” Reflecting on the moment of his audition, he said, “I can promise you that no one walks into that audition room more nervous. My heart was pounding out of my chest. I couldn’t even look at the judges.”
This famous victory for the Kentucky singer made the entire city of Kentucky proud.

American Idol Noah Thompson was born to his late mother Elizabeth Miller. According to her sister Brittany, her mother was “a rare, rare find, Elizabeth embodied many different things to different people: mother and child, strength and weakness, humor and pain, pity and meanness, but always beautiful and unfiltered.”
Elizabeth had Noah from her relationship with Chris Thompson. She gave birth to him on April 18, 2002. That makes him 20 years old in 2022.

The son of Kenneth and Sharon Ambrose, Scott was considered a musical genius. Scott died of a blood clot in his lungs just after his 32nd birthday.

According to Noah’s sister, Britany Miller, Elizabeth suffered extensive brain damage that caused her death. She had a series of complications and they had to make the difficult decision to take her off life support. She was hospitalized after cardiac arrest.
