Many commenters said they saw a gray staircase, with a white wall.
However, most Reddit users were sure they had seen a white staircase with a gray wall.
After trying to look at the staircase from different angles, another commenter said, “No matter how I look at it, it looks like a white staircase with a gray wall.”
A third person also agreed that the staircase was white, commenting: “White staircase with a gray wall.
They added that if you look at the inverted image, “the perspective changes slightly, so it looks like this [the staircase] curves.
It comes after a stunning optical illusion left viewers shaking their heads to see something hidden behind the image.
At first glance, the strange image appears to be made up of only black and white vertical lines, but the image is revealed simply by moving your head from side to side.
It seems that Dr. Michelle Dickinson first tweeted the optical illusion in January 2019, but it’s making the rounds again and captivating people.
He posted the image with the caption: “You can only see this optical illusion if you shake your head” and added a smiley emoji.
Keeping your head still, all you can see are black and white lines, but with a simple movement of the head, what looks like a cartoon cat in a suit and tie suddenly appears before your eyes.
Dr. Dickinson’s post has garnered over 3,600 likes, as well as hundreds of comments.
One wrote: “Here I am shaking my head like crazy at my desk.”
Another said: “I can’t believe I was shaking my head at this… It worked after all! And yes, shaking the phone is a better option… Tsssssskkk!”
Many others said they could see the image immediately without having to move their head or the phone.
While most people thought they saw a cat, not everyone was convinced by suggestions that it might be a rabbit, with one joker claiming it was a zebra.
