In the post, she revealed that she was inspired by Humans of New York (HONY) and founded HOB to show how storytelling can positively impact society. She also mentioned that the Delhi High Court had issued a ‘summons to the concerned party’ as there was ‘significant impersonation’, including recordings and records.

In the next few lines, she shared how 16 POI posts were deleted for plagiarism when HOB reported it to Meta. “However, this did not stop the plagiarism, even after we tried to settle the matter amicably. We have no choice but to rely on legal counsel,” reads part of the note.

The Delhi High Court ruled in favor of HOB, barring POI from using their ‘literary works and creative expressions’.

The note goes on to read, “The outcome of this case will set a precedent for the creator community and hopefully go a long way toward preserving the original content that creators work so hard to create.”

“Our story,” Humans of Bombay wrote while sharing Karishma Mehta’s message.

“Bruh, you copied Humans of New York. Please don’t preach that you’re an angel when you’re just being hypocritical about this whole thing,” expressed a fifth.

A sixth joined in: “In the interview you said yourself that the idea of HOB was something you had thought about. Is it?”
