The showcase of electronic music for the last 22 years, the Techno parade that brings tens of thousands of participants to the streets of Paris in September, will not take place due to alienation, organizers announced to AFP this Friday, who are scheduling dates for 2021.

Created and organized by Technopol, an association for the defense and recognition of the electro scene, the first Techno Parade was founded in 1998 on the model of the Love Parade in Berlin. One edition was canceled in 2001, after the attack on the World Trade Center in New York.

The context was not favorable for carriage driving,” Tommy Vaudecrane, president of Technopol, explained to AFP.

Understandably, these sanitary measures are weak, but to a large extent the ecosystem of culture and events, and endanger the normal rewarding of the summer season for the public and profitable for the artists and technicians of the show,” emphasizes Technopol in a press release.

“It is with a heavy heart that Technopol is forced to cancel this time of great celebration.
