The pension reform component is apparently making a comeback: The National Assembly approved a communist proposal on Thursday to increase the value of farmers’ pensions from 75% to 85% of the minimum wage, but only until 2022, to the chagrin of the opposition.
The text, considered in the second reading, will be on the menu of the Senate on June 29, for likely final adoption. In its own way, it is part of the Government’s project to reform the general pension system, which has been suspended due to the re-emerging coronavirus crisis.
