This is an event that one has not known for several months : the Accor Arena of Bercy has cracked open its doors to the public Friday evening. France 2 was celebrated in advance the music with a musical show, which was attended by forty artists including Yannick Noah, Christine and the Queens, Pascal Obispo, Amir, Roméo Elvis, Clara Luciani and Soolking. “Driven by the passion and desire”, Gérard Pont, the director of the festival, wished at any price to maintain this appointment in summer. Each evening of this edition, a documentary will be screened in a city park, followed by the interpretation of several titles. The director of the festival du Mas des Escaravatiers, in the very tourist department of the Var, will celebrate its 18th edition from 3 to 29 August. Nine dates are provided in total, instead of twenty, including two with Tryo. “We are very pleased to be able to take half of our routine dates,” says the officer.
The maintenance of this outdoor festival, which he founded in 2003 was vital “economically” for his team and for him. It is also good news for holidaymakers who want to unwind after several months of confinement followed by the déconfinement progressive. “People want to relive and have a normal life,” says Sebastian Costamagna. “Even if ten people attend a concert, you have to fight in order to give emotion to these ten people,” says Gérard Bridge. The director of the Francofolies did not want an edition in digital form only. “The emotion is not numérisable”, he says.

“A good part of the success of a concert comes from the public”, abounds in the Express Clément Mao-Takacs. The artistic director and founder of the festival Terraqué, in Carnac, highlights the need for the “sharing and communion” with the public. “I am also doing this business to have this direct contact with people,” says the conductor. The fourth edition of this festival ranging from classical to jazz, will be held from 27 August to 13 September 2020, including 16 symphonic concerts in the churches and chapels of the municipality of the Morbihan, or of one’s surroundings.

“It is important to reconnect as quickly as possible the physical link with the public,” says him also to Express Olivier Mantéi, the volunteer president of the festival hours music from the abbey of Lessay (Manche). “It is important not to lose this contact with the living spectacle”, he says.
