A number of collective relatives of the alleged victims of police violence wrote a letter to the President of the Republic on Tuesday, asking for a ban on grabbing and abs from key bottlenecks.

“We appealed to your predecessors, no one answered. The creation of an independent body is desirable
In the letter, discovered by le Parisien and consulted by AFP, the families call for the abolition of “the three immobilization techniques of suffocation and killing”: abdominal capture, folding and key bottlenecks. Interior Minister Christophe Castaner announced the abandonment of this technique at the beginning of June, but it remains authorized until an alternative method is defined.
