It seems that Radha met Doc when she was 11-12 years old. Since her mother had to move around a lot for work, Radha often stayed with different families at the Yogaville ashram, and that’s where she saw Doc.
“I was in love,” she recalled when she first saw him.

Radha recalled that Doc put her up in a motel outside Washington DC for almost a month. The two then officially married by forging Radha’s father’s signature on the marriage certificate.

They say young love never lasts, and the couple proved it by breaking up just 2 years later. According to Radha, she and Doc were having problems, and when she finally saw things for what they were, she packed up all her things and went to California with a friend.
