Raoul Moat’s career

The manhunt began when Stobbart and Brown were shot at dawn on July 3, 2010 in Birtley. Moat was charged with the murder of a Rathband traffic officer in East Denton more than 22 hours later. Due to Stobbart’s fiction that Brown was a police officer, Moat is said to have a grudge against the police. On July 5, Northumbria Police revealed that Durham Prison had informed them 3 days earlier that Moat intended to harm his ex-girlfriend.

As a result, Northumbria Police voluntarily referred the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Committee (IPCC). After the most recent standoff, the IPCC extended its investigation to the time before Moat’s death, but decided not to consider how the search was conducted.

He attacked a little girl, killed a stranger and seriously injured a woman and a policeman. He also killed a man he did not know. However, sympathizers wanted to demonstrate to him the kind gestures that are often made towards victims of accidents and crimes. Some of them seem to come from friends, such as Facebook messages, while others definitely don’t. Although it may sound unusual, Raoul Moat has supporters.
